There is nothing better than the satisfaction of making something yourself, especially when it looks incredible.

But cutting complex details and multiple shapes can become tedious, and it doesn't always look as you want. Sometimes you just want to personalize the project yourself and organize it in a way that suits your individual needs.

This is where the Cricut machine can come in handy. You may have seen these machines working out on TikTok or Instagram, if you have been thinking about getting buzz about the machines, you are not alone.

This is a cricut guide to help you determine which model is right for you, or whether it is a device that really meets your needs.

Cricut machines cut shapes and designs from various materials for various DIY projects. The equipment can also score, emboss, engrave and plot paper and cardboard, depending on the blade/tool and model you have.

Depending on the model, using Bluetooth or USB, the Cricut machine is connected to the Design Space application on the smart device or computer. In this application, you can choose from a range of projects or designs. Once you have selected a project or created your own design in the canvas section of the application, you will be guided through the steps of entering materials into your Cricut. Then, when it cuts or draws the shape you want, you will see the magic happen.

After the design is completed, you can follow the steps below to complete the project. For example, if you made a label using smart vinyl, you would attach transfer tape to the vinyl and rub the vinyl onto the object you want to personalize.

If it is an ironing or non-melting ink project, your next step will involve setting up a heat press to apply the ironing shape to the material.

With the cricut machine, the possibilities are endless. You can make cards, labels, jewelry, paper flowers and decorations. You can also create or place pre-designed images on T-shirts, bags and tea towels, table runners, mugs and beverage bottles.

The cricut machine is also the secret to the stylish, professional-looking labels in pantry and storage renovations you see on Instagram. Making these labels yourself means you can customize them to your needs instead of buying store-bought packaging instead of using them all.

The label can be made of removable vinyl, so you can change the storage space at will. Alternatively, you can use a pen or marker to write on a white background for a traditional look.

There are three cricut models to choose from, depending on your budget and production needs.

Joy is an entry-level machine for cricut, suitable for daily handicraft needs, and suitable for beginners. It can cut more than 50 materials, including paper, cardstock, corrugated cardboard, vinyl, and Cricut's Smart Iron-on.

Although only 21.4 cm wide, Joy is all you need to make a label for Instagram's worthy pantry. The size will not prevent the machine from cutting long designs-if you use Cricut Smart material, you can cut up to 11 cm wide x 1.2 m long. For other materials, you are limited by the size of the cutting mat used to insert the material into the machine.

cricut Joy is only connected to your smart device via Bluetooth, so it is very suitable for making on the go. The machine is equipped with fine-pointed blades, black fine-pointed pens, standard grip pads, power adapters and practice cutting materials.

For DIY and craft lovers, Explore 3 is a good choice. It can cut more than 100 kinds of materials, including foil, kraft paperboard and felt, and can be larger than Joy up to 30 cm wide.

Explore 3 is twice as fast as the previous Explore model. It is now also compatible with Cricut Smart Materials, eliminating the need to insert the cutting mat into the machine.

Users can connect Explore 3 to the Design Space application via Bluetooth or USB. The machine is compatible with six tools: fine-pointed blades, deep-pointed blades, pens and markers, scribing pens, foil transfer tools, and bonding fabric tools.

If you really want to make and look for a versatile cricut, then Maker 3 is the best choice. It can cut more than 300 materials, from cardstock and vinyl to fabric and balsa wood.

Maker 3 is the fastest and most powerful Cricut machine, compatible with 13 tools, including engraving tools. Like Explore, Maker connects to the Design Space application via Bluetooth or USB.

Smart materials are also compatible with Maker 3, but you can still use the cutting mat to cut other materials.

Cricut Joy can be purchased at Harvey Norman, Spotlight, Big W, Officeworks and JB Hi Fi.

Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3 can be purchased at Harvey Norman and Spotlight.

For those who like crafts and DIY, Cricut machines will provide a lot of fun and prove to be useful for most projects. However, when you include the various materials required, the cost will increase rapidly, so most people will find that the Joy machine suits their interests.

Which model you choose depends on what project you plan to use it for, your budget, and how often you plan to use it.
