The Norwalk Oyster Festival drew throngs in mid-September as summer drew to a close, with many leisure employers having seen a boost in business as people sought diversions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year marked the 95th annual Bethlehem Fair at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds on Route 61. Fair goers enjoyed a Cruise Night, music by The Ultimate Aldean Experience, a mini horse and pony pull, The Bethlehem Fairs Got Talent show and more. Were you SEEN on September 7, 2019?

Nearly 5,000 riders head out from Sherwood Island State Park for the The CT United Ride Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Westport, Conn. The CT United Ride is a non-stop motorcycle 9/11 tribute to Seaside Park in Bridgeport which passes through 9 towns along the route.

Festivals like the North Haven Fair and Norwalk Oyster Fest give Nutmeggers a lot to sink their teeth into this weekend.

The Hebron Harvest Fair, which is themed around agriculture, will be opening its door from Sept. 8 - 11, according to its website.

The event's attractions include livestock pulls, motorized events and carnival rides will be available for guests.

Musicians like Nightshift, Jeff Pitchell and Creedence Revived will be performing during the fair.

This year marked the 95th annual Bethlehem Fair at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds on Route 61. Fair goers enjoyed a Cruise Night, music by The Ultimate Aldean Experience, a mini horse and pony pull, The Bethlehem Fairs Got Talent show and more. Were you SEEN on September 7, 2019?

The Bethlehem Fair invites guests to hang out with farm animals, participate in events and shop from over 200 different vendors, according to its website. The fair runs from Sept. 9 through 11.

Some events hosted will be car shows, woodcutting contests, magic shows and talent contests.

Food will include fried dough, pizza, calzones, seafood and popcorn, according to the fair's webpage.

This event honors those who lost their lives on September 11 with a 60-mile-long motorcycle ride that starts from Sherwood Island State Park on Sunday.

The Greater Danbury Irish Festival brings authentic Irish food and music to the New Milford Town Green on Saturday and Sunday.

Bands during the Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival.

The Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival, themed this year around the maritime folklore of Connecticut, features boats of all kinds, a parade with marching bands and children's music from Steve Elci. It will take place at New London Waterfront Park all weekend.

The Norwalk Oyster Festival drew throngs in mid-September as summer drew to a close, with many leisure employers having seen a boost in business as people sought diversions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This festival celebrates all things oysters and features live performances from Jana Kramer, Alex Shillo and Big Shot. The celebration will last all weekend at the Veteran’s Memorial Park.

The brewfest celebrates its 16th year on Saturday at Waterbury's Library Park with beer tastings, an amateur pit master BBQ competition and barbecue-inspired food options from local food trucks.

The Connecticut Renaissance Faire kicked off its 23rd season Labor Day Weekend 2021 at the Lebanon County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Conn. The recreation of a 16th-century harvest festival featured magic, comedy, jousting and more. 

The renaissance festival has over 80 storefronts, and entertainment like sword swallowing, jousting and fire breathing. It runs at the Lebanon Fairgrounds until Oct. 16.

St. Peter's Apple Festival held at the Monroe Green on Sept. 10 and 11 will have vendors selling apple-flavored baked goods as well as other food, according to its Facebook page.

The Red Barn in Durham is inviting guests to "heighten the awareness of our 5 senses and beyond" with a day filled with herbal infusions, food, tea blending and classes at the Harvest Moon Herb Festival on Sept. 10, according to its Eventbrite page.

Kinetic Ukes, an ensemble of ukulele players in Connecticut, and the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center are presenting the 2022 Nutmeg Ukulele Festival. 

The first annual Nutmeg Ukulele Festival, which features Grammy-winners Marcy Marxer and Cathy Fink, will take place Saturday at Eno Memorial Hall.

Hein Farm, which is known for its mobile farmer's market, is hosting the Chickenstock 2022 Music Festival. It takes place on Sept. 10, and aims to be a family-friendly concert featuring local musicians like The Tracy Walton band, Steve Dunn Band, Jeff Przech, The Bargain, The Auburn Mode and Riley Cotton. The event will also have food trucks, alcohol and vendors, its website says.

The blues guitarist, known for songs like "We're All In This Together" and "All Out Of Tears," will be performing at the Fairfield Theatre Company on Sunday.

The historic Parmelee Farm Homestead in Killingworth.

The Parmelee Farm Artisan Market aims to give growers and craftspeople from across the state a venue to sell their products, according to its website. The next market will be held at Parmelee Farm on Sept. 10. 

Some vendors who have announced they will be attending include Bitta Blue Farm, Foxon River Design, The Sweet Baker LLC, Bogue Farms and Treehugger Creations.

Todd Snider, known for hits like "Play a Train Song" and "Doublewide Blues" will be making an appearance at the Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk on Friday.

The North Haven Fair, which has run since 1942, will be returning to 290 Washington Ave., Sept. 9 through 11, according to its website.

The fair will feature animals, rides and music. 

The MAC Gala at the Milford Arts Council will feature poetry, artwork and special brews and cocktails on Saturday.
